Firemen’s Carnival this week - 7/15/2009

The Berkeley Springs Firemen’s Carnival will continue tonight through Saturday with free nightly entertainment, rides, games and great food. Family night one-price armbands will be available Wednesday and Thursday.

Wednesday, July 15 Night Drive featuring 14 year old singer Elaini Arthur. The band Night Drive has been a fixture in the region and around Morgan County. Always a solid performance, tonight the band introduces a young female country singer Elaini Arthur.

Night Drive is a high-powered variety band, featuring country, rock, southern rock, oldies, classics and 50/60 music. All band members offer years of musical performance and work with well-known artists. Jimmy McCumbee the band leader, talents are lead vocalist and harmony, rhythm guitarist, song writer and light technician.

He formed the band in 1985 known as Desperados. In 1994 the name changed to Night Drive.

Night Drive is a strong high-powered group. McCumbee comes from a long line of family who have played music. His parents most notably with Roy Acuff and they had the opportunity to join the 101 Ranch Boys, a group in the early 40's. He has opened for groups - the late Big Al Downing, Johnny Paycheck, The Platters, Tommy Cash to name a few.
